I have been using coconut oil since around 2015, I first started using it after reading about the benefits of oil pulling. Oil pulling is an old tradition where you simply swish the oil around your mouth for 10 - 30 minutes in replacement of brushing your teeth. Strange? yes, I know, but I had read many many stories of this being amazing, healing cavities, making teeth much whiter etc. So anyway I gave it ago and being completely honest I did not see any results from this one however, I have seen amazing results from Coconut oil in different areas. I now only use this oil for cooking and to be honest it makes my food taste so much better especially when my bacon is a little greasy I need not worry as its good grease. It is absolutely amazing for dry skin, I have never used anything as good as this. All three of my children have had some form of eczema and I literally put this stuff on 2-3 times a day and within 2-3 days it's gone! Just like that. My sister had a very bad case of this on her hand where the skin was cracking again advised Coconut oil and low and behold it worked. It is also great for frizzy hair or just an overnight moisture treatment for dry hair. I have read a few articles about this being good for spots also, so again "yes I do have spots from time to time", I tried it out as I have combined skin t-zone very dry and the rest can get quite oily, so I did try this and again it worked great. My skin was much brighter spots less visible and my skin just felt very smooth and great. Coconut oil is great being directly digested I like to put in into my morning porridge as well as my fruit drinks, it is known for killing bacteria both internally and externally. Coconut oil is full of the good cholesterol which is great for our hearts to function at their best. It also boosts your energy levels which for people like me is amazing as I do find myself tired a lot of the time. Recent research has shown that the brain creates its own insulin to process glucose and power brain cells. In the brain of an Alzheimer’s patient, they lose the ability to create its own insulin, the ketones from Coconut oil could create an alternate source of energy to help repair brain function. There are many many more uses and good stuff for coconut oil and the bottom line is that is great for you both inside and outside, so next time you have dry lips or feeling a little unhealthy head for the Coconut oil aisle.
